This detailed scale model kit recreates an historic Madrid tram operated by the city’s electric network company. Originally painted red and popularly nicknamed “cangrejo” (crab), these trams later appeared in yellow after a change of ownership in 1908. The vehicle represented belongs to the 1–20 series from 1901 and features 15 opposing wooden bench seats, space for 7 standing passengers on the driver’s platform, and 10 standing places on the opposite platform. It is powered in full size by two A-B-60 Schuckert 30 horsepower electric motors, each tram operated by a driver and a conductor.
