Experience a vast, interconnected racing world where the racetrack stretches across plains, cities, water areas, volcanoes, and more. In this Nintendo racing game for Nintendo Switch 2, every area is linked, allowing you to drive seamlessly between diverse environments and explore off the road as well as on it.

Choose from multiple modes tailored to different play styles. Grand Prix mode lets you compete across four connected tracks against 24 racers, including the spaces between tracks. Knockout Tour challenges you to race through several tracks in succession without time for pit stops. Free Roam mode gives you the freedom to decide where to go next, explore locations that catch your eye, and capture in-game photos in picturesque areas.

Play locally with up to four players on a single console, using either traditional button controls or motion controls. The game supports Joy-Con 2 controllers, which can be attached to the Joy-Con 2 wheel accessory (sold separately) for a more immersive driving feel. Wireless Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers are also supported for flexible multiplayer racing on Nintendo Switch 2.

Stay connected with friends using GameChat, which lets you talk through the console’s built-in microphone and share your screen in real time. When paired with a compatible USB-C camera, such as the Nintendo Switch 2 camera (sold separately), GameChat enables video chat so you can see your friends while racing or exploring the game world together.

Motion control support allows you to insert the Joy-Con 2 controller and steer as if you are really driving, with magnetic connections designed for easy attaching and detaching. GameChat video chat with the Nintendo Switch 2 camera helps bring everyone together from anywhere, enhancing the social experience of this Mario Kart World racing title on Nintendo Switch 2.

Mario Kart World is published by Nintendo and is scheduled to launch on June 5, 2025. A bundle with the Nintendo Switch 2 console will also be available.
