This beginner box provides a complete introduction to the Magic: The Gathering trading card game, offering new players a structured way to learn the rules and start playing immediately. It is designed for two players to follow along together and gradually build confidence through guided play and ready-to-use card packets. Ideal for anyone beginning their MTG experience, it combines step-by-step instruction with a variety of themed decks for ongoing gameplay.

The set includes two 20-card tutorial decks featuring Cats and Vampires, allowing players to learn the basics with simple, focused gameplay. Both decks are supported by two learn-to-play Quick Start guide booklets that walk through a tutorial game, helping players understand turn structure, card types, and core Magic: The Gathering mechanics.

For expanded play and deck variety, the box contains eight 20-card themed Jumpstart packets. Players can shuffle any two packets together to create a ready-to-play deck, offering multiple combinations and replayable MTG matches without additional deckbuilding. This makes it convenient to explore different strategies and themes while staying within the beginner-friendly format.

To support a complete tabletop setup, the box also includes one Rules Reference booklet for quick rule checks during games, two playmats to define each player’s play area, and two Spindown life counters for tracking life totals. Together, these components provide everything needed to learn, practice, and enjoy Magic: The Gathering in a structured, accessible way.
